====== How to create a group email ======

You'll need to login as the Avomaster or voadmin to create new email group.\\

Please follow the steps below to create a new email group.

  - Go to Profile → Admin.\\ {{:faq:administrator:imageedit_74_3424043878.gif}}
  - Under Admin, select [Group].\\ {{:faq:administrator:imageedit_1_3871259041.gif}}
  - On the left hand side group bar, enter the new group name into the given field, and click [Create].\\ {{:faq:administrator:imageedit_2_3858013927.png}}
  - Click on the new group name that you have created.\\ {{:faq:administrator:imageedit_4_7174984779.gif}}
  - Then, select the members that you wish to add to this email group and click Update once you complete.\\ {{:faq:administrator:imageedit_7_7740005660.gif}}
  - If you would like this group to be used for [[faq:administrator:what_is_ucar|UCAR]] purposes, check the checkbox here.

If you want to delete any group that you have created, click on the **No undo. All archived messages in this box will be lost as well** option and click on [Delete].\\

**Side note**: Characters like "." and "-" are not allowed in a group's name. If you'd like to have a descriptive or readable group name, please use underscore "_" instead. E.g. group_abc, team_alpha.
