Configuring How Much Days Emails are Kept on Server

Ms Outlook POP3 downloads email from a server to your PC, and then deletes it from the server. You can configure how long the emails can be stored on the server before removing them. The default no. of days set on Ms Outlook is 14 days.

To configure this setting:

1. Go to File.

2. Then, select Account Settings… > Manage Profiles.

3. On the “Mail Setup - Outlook” window, click on [Email Accounts].

4. The “Account Settings” window will be displayed. Here, select your email account and click [Repair].

5. Then, on “Repair Account”, select “Manual setup or additional server types” and click [Next >].

6. On the next screen, click [More Settings…].

7. A pop-up box entitled “Internet Email Settings” will be displayed. Click on the Advanced tab.

Once you have made changes to this setting, click [OK] to save it.

9. Then, click [Next >].

10. Ms Outlook will test your account settings. Here, if you receive the certificate warning, click [Yes] to accept the mail certificate from AfterOffice. Once the testings are completed, click [Close] to close the window.
