Why can’t I redirect email to free email services?

Redirecting email to Gmail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, etc has been disabled for quite some time now, for us to offer better quality of service on the server email delivery.

Setting redirect means there will be A LOT of emails (including spam) being redirected from your account to these free email services, which could cause a temporary traffic block by them.

This means:

We hope you understand our intention on such restriction.

Note: If you are using gmail, there is a better way to get the same result by using Google Mail Fetcher (remote POP3 access) instead.

  1. Login with your Gmail account.
  2. [Go to Settings] → [Accounts and Import].
  3. On “Check mail from other accounts (using POP3)”, click [Add a POP3 mail account you own].
  4. On the pop-up box, key in your email address. Click [Next Step].
  5. Key in your email address on [Username] and your password on [Password].
  6. On [POP server], key in mail.yourdomain.com. Leave the port number at 110.
  7. Remember to check the checkbox [Learn a copy of retrieved message on the server].
  8. Click [Add Account].
  9. Once the account is created, you will be asked whether you want to send email using your user@domain.com email address. Click [No] and select [Finish].
