VOChat for Website: About Canned Replies

Canned replies are responses that you have saved, for personal or team use. These responses can be generic messages that are frequently used to reply your visitors. The benefit of having canned replies is that you can quickly reply to your visitors by selecting the responses from the list, without typing the full sentence again.

Creating a Canned Reply

To create a canned reply:

1. On your VOChat, click on the icon, and then click on the icon next to the public channel, and select Configure.

2. A new window will be displayed. Click on the Canned Replies tab.

3. Then, click + CANNED REPLY to add a new reply template.

4. Enter a name for the canned reply. The name is only for reference.

5. Next, enter the content of the canned reply into the “Content” text area.

6. If you'd like the other operators of this public channel to have access to this canned reply, select “Team” as the type; otherwise, if you are saving it for personal use, select “Personal”.

7. Click Create to save the canned reply.

8. Once the canned reply has been created, close the window.

Using a Canned Reply

To use a canned reply when chatting with visitors:

1. Click on the icon at the message field.

2. A pop-up window will be displayed. Choose whether you want to use a team or a personal type of canned reply.

3. Then, click on the USE button next to the canned reply that you want to use.

4. You will see the canned reply being loaded at your message field. Simply click enter to send the message.
